Grassroots Gathering

he Grassroots Gatherings are open get-togethers for people who want to transform Irish society and the world in radical ways – ‘grassroots’ ways, in their focus on real democracy, and bottom-up methods. Reclaiming the streets, building social centres, resisting war, environmental destruction and EU neoliberalism, since 2001 the network around the Grassroots Gatherings has taken part in the global uprising against an equally global capitalism gone out of control.

Grassroots Gathering 2008 – Getting there

The gathering takes place in Casadh, Unit 13, New Market Square, Dublin 8, located on the maps below.
Buses 50, 77, 150, 151 from College st/fleet st (round corner from front of Trinity) stop nearest the venue.

Approx. 10 minute journey. Bus passes main junction with nash’s pub/chartbusters on left. get off at second stop after this on St luke’s avenue. Walk back down a little from the stop and take the side road to the right, leading into Newmarket Square, turn left, the Casadh building is on the left side. (check maps below)

Please note that CASADH is a DRUG & ALCOHOL FREE SPACE, it is used as a drug rehabilitation centre during the week and drugs/alcohol are not allowed on the premises at any time.
